Customer Terms of Service
QuickieFix Limited (New Zealand) · Last updated 14 July 2026
1. What QuickieFix is
QuickieFix is a marketplace operated by QuickieFix Limited. We connect you with independent, verified tradespeople and trade businesses ("tradies"). The repair work itself is a contract between you and the tradie (or their company) — QuickieFix is not the tradesperson and does not perform the work.
2. Pricing — labour rates upfront
- Each tradie's hourly rate and call-out fee are shown upfront before you confirm a job. The rate you see when your tradie is locked in is the rate that applies.
- Those rates cover labour only. Parts and materials (for example a replacement pipe, tap, cable or fitting) are additional — the tradie should agree these with you on site before installing them.
- You pay the tradie directly for the work. QuickieFix does not process your payment or add a customer fee.
- Jobs at an agency-managed rental are billed under your property manager's arrangement — rates are not shown in the app for those jobs.
3. Requesting and cancelling jobs
- Requests are for help now — a tradie is dispatched immediately when one accepts.
- You may cancel before the tradie arrives; repeatedly cancelling after tradies have started travelling may lead to account review.
- If no tradie is available, your request expires and you can retry at any time.
4. Emergencies
The emergency flag prioritises dispatch — it is not an emergency service. If anyone is in danger, call 111 first.
5. Ratings, reviews and conduct
- Reviews must be honest and relate to the job. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive or fake.
- Keep communication in the app — contact details in chat are masked for both parties' safety.
- Do not use the platform to arrange work off-platform to avoid tradie verification and dispute records.
6. Consumer law
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Work performed by a tradie carries the guarantees those laws provide against the tradie or their business.
7. Our liability
We take verification seriously (identity, business details and, for regulated trades, licensing declarations), but we are a venue: to the maximum extent the law allows, QuickieFix Limited is not liable for the acts or omissions of tradies or customers, and our total liability to you in connection with the platform is limited to NZ$100.
8. Accounts
- You must provide accurate details and keep your login secure.
- We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the law.
- You can delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy.
9. General
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. We may update them as the service evolves; material changes will be notified in the app and continued use constitutes acceptance.
