Tradie & Business Terms
QuickieFix Limited (New Zealand) · Last updated 14 July 2026
These terms apply to tradespeople, trade companies and property agencies using QuickieFix. They sit alongside the Customer Terms and Privacy Policy.
1. Your status
- You are an independent business, not an employee, agent or contractor of QuickieFix Limited. You control whether you go available, which jobs you accept, your rates and how you do the work.
- You are responsible for your own taxes, GST, insurance, tools, licensing and compliance (including the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Act and Electricity Act where they apply to your trade).
- An NZBN is required for every trading identity on the platform.
2. Platform fee — simple and flat
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Per completed job | NZ$15.00 flat |
| Founding-member credit | Your first 5 completed jobs are free — no fee is charged |
| Everything else | No sign-up fee, no subscription, no commission on your labour. You keep 100% of what the customer pays you. |
- Fees accrue per completed job and are invoiced monthly to your billing email.
- Customers pay you directly — QuickieFix never holds your money.
- Unpaid platform fees may result in a dispatch hold (you stop receiving new jobs) until settled.
3. Rates shown to customers
- Your hourly rate and call-out fees are shown to customers before they book. The rate shown at acceptance is the rate you must honour for that job.
- Displayed rates are labour only. Parts and materials are between you and the customer — agree them with the customer before fitting them. Surprise materials charges are the fastest route to a complaint and removal.
- Jobs at agency-managed properties are performed on the agency's commercial terms, not your in-app rate card.
4. Working under a company
- A trade company adds you with a seat code and declares your engagement:
- Employee — you trade under your personal name with the company's NZBN; your own business identity is stored and restored if you leave.
- Contractor — you keep your own business name and NZBN and invoice the company for your work. You carry the company's brand only on jobs the company's relationships sourced (e.g. its agency panels).
- The company sees your jobs, timesheets and reviews for work done under its banner, and pays the platform fees for those jobs unless agreed otherwise between you.
5. Agency panels
- Property agencies dispatch jobs at their managed properties only to their approved panel.
- Panel work is governed by your agreement with the agency (rates, invoicing, response expectations). QuickieFix provides the dispatch, tracking and job records.
6. Conduct on the platform
- Accepting a job locks it in — the customer is told you're coming. Release a job only when genuinely necessary; a pattern of releases affects your standing.
- Keep your availability status honest, arrive when the tracking says you will, and keep communication in-app.
- Do not take platform-introduced customers off-platform to avoid job records. There is no commission on your labour, so there is nothing to save — off-platform work just loses you the record and the review.
- Verification is mandatory: identity, business details and licensing declarations for regulated work. Misrepresentation ends the relationship.
7. Suspension and removal
We may pause dispatch to you or remove your account for: safety complaints, fraudulent conduct, sustained poor ratings, unpaid fees or breach of these terms. Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
8. General
New Zealand law governs these terms. We may update them as the service evolves; material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use constitutes acceptance. Fee changes will always be notified at least 30 days in advance.
